We have so many workers in the church that do random acts of service and kindness. God will have special rewards for their selfless dedication. We thank God for equipping us with all the people and talents we need to grow our ministry.
FELLOWSHIP
WOMEN UNITED meets the last Thursday night of every other month for devotions led by co-hostesses. We conduct a business meeting where we focus on service and needs of the church family and community. You may find us having a cleaning day at the church, a sewing day to make blankets for missions, or organizing a banquet for a special occasion. Of course, we do lots of sharing and caring of our recipes, experiences, concerns and faith. WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY is held the first Wednesday night of each month in homes as we study the Women of Faith series. We encourage women of all ages to join us.
MEN'S MEETING is open to all men desiring a deeper understanding of God and His promises. Many of them attend the annual Promisekeepers convention and are challenged by nationally-known speakers. The main focus of these meetings held on the first Wednesday of each month is to be accountable and encouraged by mentoring, and leadership according to God's order for the family.
Our YOUTH GROUP meets every Sunday night directed by Craig & Lara Macklin. They emphasize discovering God's plan for their lives, and how they can serve Him even at a young age. Our youth arranges and leads an evening service involving the whole congregation several times a year. And whether playing softball on the church field or on a field trip far from home, we encourage cooperation and responsibility as they grow in spirit and stature. Much emphasis is put into the outreach of VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL in July. We send every child that desires to attend CHURCH CAMP to Camp Maranatha each summer. We recently invested in a family of hand puppets for special programs in and outside the church walls, finding some hidden talent ready to be tapped. We value our young people and thank God for them.
FAMILY NIGHT POTLUCK is held the first Sunday night of each month. We have lots of good cooks and people that like to eat! This night is also set aside to focus on mission outreach and an offering is taken for the purpose of spreading the Word of God beyond our community. Sometimes family night doubles as a wedding shower, a game of softball or volleyball, or to honor a special guest. JUBILEE is an end-of-summer musical celebration of God's goodness. FARMERS' DAY is an end-of-harvest festival with casual dress code and awesome worship.
MUSIC is a vital part of our worship. Our worship leaders and teams are sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading with songs of praise to the Lord. A variety of special music and drama is prepared for each service and new talent is being discovered as the Spirit leads. We have 2-octaves of choirchimes for an extraordinary sound experience. Our vocal choir performs many styles of choral music to enhance the worship service. As our hymnal title suggests, we love to "sing to the Lord".
